Firstly, the ballot went out in the post in the first week in October, so by the time you read this you will only have a few days left to return your paper, if you have not already done so please take a few minutes to complete it & pop it in the post, it would be nice to improve on the return rate of the last few years.
The results should be ready for the December issue of CAVIES.
Now on to the 2004 yearbook.
We are already starting to prepare for publication. Existing advertisers will have already been contacted by letter, giving them first refusal on advertising space, and quite a number of pages have already been booked. If anyone else wants to advertise please bear in mind that space is strictly limited, and we had to turn a number of people away last year. Adverts are accepted on a first come- first served basis and demand is high.
So if you want to advertise then a full page costs £20.00 and a half page is £10.00. You should contact Joan Radeglia, 37 Beechnut Drive, Darby Green, Blackwater, Camberley, Surrey, GU17 0DJ.
There are also a limited number of 'commercial' spaces available - contact Joan by phone if you want to advertise commercially.
The time is also approaching very fast, when all our Affiliated Club Secretaries need to get their affiliation applications in to Gerry Harvey. Final closing date for applications is the 30th November 2003, please remember that any applications received after that date cannot be considered. All secretaries of clubs that were affiliated this year will have received their renewal forms by now, and your co-operation in returning them as early as possible will be very much appreciated.
We look forward to November 8th, when our old friends Portsmouth C.C. are hosting our Adult Stock Show, at their Solent Championship Show. This is always a popular show and there is still time to get your entries in for it, please remember when entering SCC classes, to give the host club some support by entering their classes as well.
